Great job at Time Trials on Saturday. The kids now have a good baseline on which to build during the summer. Hope everyone had fun.  Coach Malka will post results today.

Our next meet is an "A" meet this Saturday, June 15 at our Bethesda pool vs Country Glen. Please sign up now - the deadline is Wednesday, June 13 @ 9pm.

To sign up, go to www.bebarracudas.org, click on "Meets & Events" tab, scroll down to "1A 2019 Meet: Country Glen @ Bethesda", click on the green "Meet Entry" button, declare whether your swimmer(s) will attend (or not), and then volunteer for a job.

At each "A" meet, the swimmers with the 3 fastest times in each non-freestyle event (and the fastest 6 swimmers in freestyle events) qualify to swim in that meet. Each swimmer can swim a maximum of 3 individual events (+ an IM + 1 relay) at an "A" meet.

Think your swimmer doesn’t qualify to swim in Saturday's A meet? Think again! Even if you don’t think your swimmer qualifies, if s/he is available to swim on Saturday, sign her/him up anyway @ www.bebarracudas.org. Coach Malka makes her lineup based on the swimmers who have committed that they are available to swim. Sometimes there is illness, injury, travel or prior commitments that keep swimmers from attending. When this happens, Coach Malka will add the next fastest swimmer to the lineup. This could be your swimmer! However, she can’t include your swimmer unless you commit him/her to swim.

If you do commit, and your child is added to the Saturday A meet lineup, please arrive at the pool by 7:30am in time for warm-ups ahead of the meet. It’s essential that we get an accurate count of swimmers that have arrived, and the coaches must scratch anyone that has not arrived ahead of the meet. We are only permitted a few scratches, and anytime we cannot fill a lane with a swimmer, it costs the team points.
